Scoala Gimnaziala Maria Rosetti
Scoala Gimnaziala Maria Rosetti it's a primary and secondary public school in Bucharest with a stable population, mostly middle-class families. We have 850 pupils (AGE:6-15); lot of pupils belonging to different ethnical communities (Armenian, Macedonian, Rroma) and different religions (orthodox, Greco-catholic, Romano–catholic, muslims)
There are 32 pupils with special educational needs, for whom we have assured a teacher and a counselor who helps them in keeping up with the school requirements. School has 42 teachers with high qualifications, 1 computer expert, 1 educational counselor, 1 librarian. The school’s motivation to participate to join this project is to provide quality education to students' development, integrate them in social activities and become active and responsible citizens, fully aware of their own value. This project will give the opportunities for pupils and teachers to develop as organizations and increase their skills by work in EU projects, according to European standards.
The LTTA's offer:
- international learning experiences to pupils, to develop their understanding of diversity of European cultures and languages and to help them acquire social, civic and intercultural competences necessary for their personal development
- to have high performance in all disciplines and application of computer operating techniques
- to have a percentage of secondary school graduation exams at the end of over 90%
- to mobilize surroundings as partners in the educational process (municipal, employment, civil society and youth organizations. The joint training event will be a benefit for teachers to improve their teaching methods, establish new curriculum approaches and exchange of good management practices.
Our school has implemented successful projects on the European culture and values of its teachers and pupils, Active European Citizenship and healthy environment by actively taking roles in Comenius projects. The project work and distribution of the tasks among pupils is a method for increasing learning motivation of pupils to all subjects. We would like to let our students be more European/International and open their horizons all over the different cultures of European partners
